Black cauldron 2
Materials needed :
- scissors
- glue
- one black square sheet 12 x12 cm
- red, orange, brown, green and yellow paper
- any colour A4 paper
Let’s get to work:
- Fold 16 squares of the black square paper. See the how to page for instructions.
- Cut off one row of four squares .
- Fold all the edges inwards so you’ll get triangles.
- Make a fire, bubbles and a stick.
- Glue everything onto the A4 paper.
Bat
Materials needed :
- scissors
- glue
- one black square sheet 8 x 8 cm
- four black square sheets 10 x 10 cm or 12 x 12 cm
- black and white paper
- any colour A4 paper
Let’s get to work:
- Fold 16 squares of the 8 x 8 cm sheet. This is for the head.
- Fold two corners towards the middle
- Make incisions on both sides.
- Fold the middle two squares away.
- Fold the top two squares into triangles.
- Use the four square sheets to fold kites (See the how-to page how to fold kites).
- Glue the kites and the head onto the A4 paper.
- Make legs and eyes.

Magic wand
Materials needed :
- scissors
- glue
- template of cat (see downloads page)
- white and black paper
- construction paper
- pencil
Let’s get to work:
- Copy the template on construction paper.
- Let the children trace the cat onto black paper twice.
- Let them cut out the cats.
- Use a sheet of black paper and roll it up. Glue it together.
- Make whiskers and eyes.
- Staple the cat onto the roll on both sides.
Witch with broom
Materials needed :
- scissors
- glue
- black square paper size 10 x10 and 12 x 12 cm
- any colour square paper size 10 x 10 for the head.
- brown, green and black paper.
- any colour A4 paper
Let’s get to work:
- Start with the coat. Fold the paper diagonally and make an incision about two thirds in.
- Fold the insides outwards.
- Continue with the head. Use any colour and fold a kite. Fold both the top as well as the bottom inwards. Glue together.
- Now continue with the hat. Use the 10 x 10 cm and fold a kite.
- Fold the top inwards.
- Turn the kite around and fold an edge. Glue the edge.
- Glue everything onto the A4 paper.
- Cut hairs, a broom, eyes and a mouth.

Wands from long to short
Materials needed :
- scissors
- glue
- black paper
- stars (stickers)
- any colour A4 paper
Let’s get to work:
- Cut strips of black paper and make them shorter each time.
- The assignment is to go from tall to short. You can also give a number in which they have to do it in. So go from long to short in 10 wands.
- Paste stars on top of the wands.
Witches with wands
Materials needed :
- scissors
- glue
- black square paper size 10 x10 and 12 x 12 cm
- any colour square paper size 10 x 10 for the head.
- brown, green and black paper.
- any colour A4 paper
Let’s get to work:
- Starting with the hat. Use the 10 x 10 cm and fold a kite.
- Fold the top inwards
- Turn the kite around and fold an edge. Glue the edge.
- Continue with the head. Use any colour and fold a kite again. Fold the top and bottom inwards. Glue together.
- Fold another kite with a 12 x 12 cm black square sheet.
- Cut off the short end of the kite
- Take an 8 x 8 cm square sheet and fold it diagonally twice, so you’ll get a cross.
- Leave one side folded and fold the tips over the other line.
- Glue everything on the sheet of A4 as shown on picture.

Little big feet
Materials needed :
- scissors
- glue
- thick black paper
- any colour circle for the face
- any colour paper for the hair
- black and brown paper
- a box, toilet roll, paper towel roll, pringles tube.
Let’s get to work:
- Cut a large triangle out of a piece of thick paper.
- Cut a strip of thick paper and put it over the triangle to form a hat.
- Cut out a circle for the face
- Cut hairs, hands, eyes, mouth and feet, and glue them.
- Use a brown sheet of paper and roll it up.
- Glue the edge and make lots of incisions on one side to create a broom.
- Get a box, toilet roll etc, and place it behind the witch to make her stand up.
Witches circle
Materials needed :
- scissors
- glue
- black A4 paper
- white paper
- prick pen
Let’s get to work:
- Use one sheet of black paper and roll it up to form a cone.
- Trace a circle and prick out a small circle .
- Put the circle over the top of the cone.
- Use a strip of white paper to make the face and hands.
- Make a broom, eyes, nose etc.
Wizards and witches
Materials needed :
- scissors
- glue
- black A4 paper
- white, purple, green paper
- prick pen
- paper towel roll
- crepe paper
- golden paper
- star stickers
- black circles
- cotton wool (for the hair)
Let’s get to work:
- Choose a colour and roll it around the paper towel roll.
- On the top of the roll, use a bit of white paper for the face.
- Take a black circle and prick out a small circle of the middle. You can use the paper towel roll for measuring a circle.
- Take a piece of green paper and make a cone.
- Put the cone over the black circle with the hole in the middle. If you make little cuts inside the circle you can use the edges to glue the cone onto. (you can see this with the purple witches.
- Take a piece of cotton wool and make a beard and hair.
- Put the hat over the hair.
- Cut a strip of paper and paste this at the back of the wizard for arms.
- Use a piece of crepe paper to make a cape.
- Decorate with stars and make a wand with golden paper.
Cauldron
Materials needed :
- wallpaper paste
- balloons
- glue
- old newspapers
- scissors
- black, gold and silver paint
- paintbrushes
- toilet rolls (1 and a half per cauldron)
Let’s get to work:
- Blow up the balloons and cut the newspapers in strips.
- Use paper mache on half of the balloon and let it dry.
- When it has dried, paint the inside of the cauldron gold or silver and the outside black.
- Also cut toilet rolls for legs, make sure you’ll cut them crooked.
- The toilet rolls should also be painted black.
- When the cauldron and its legs are dry, make incisions in the toilet rolls so you’ll have something to put the glue on.
- Glue the legs to the cauldron.
